We have received the following Notice from Test Valley Borough Council:
URGENT TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE – PART OF ELDON ROAD BRAISHFIELD
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that The Borough Council of Test Valley as agent for Hampshire County Council (being the Traffic Authority), owing to works in connection with urgent telecommunication repairs considers that the closure to the road as specified below should come into force without delay:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Part of Eldon Road Braishfield from a point north of Wood Farm, 880 metres north of the junction with Paynes Hay Road to a point 150 metres further north.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: From the northern end of the closure, north on Eldon Road, southeast on Furzedown/Kings Somborne Road, south on Braishfield Road, southwest on Paynes Hay Road and north on Eldon Road to the southern end of closure and on the same roads in the opposite direction.
PERIOD OF ORDER: From 18 June 2018 for a period of twenty one days or until completion of the works whichever is sooner.
DURATION OF WORKS: notwithstanding the above it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than two days staring from 18 June 2018 between 09:30 and 15:30 each day.
Reasonable access to adjoining properties would be available while the work is being carried out.
