Braishfield Recreation Ground is located along Braishfield Road just north of the school. It is available for use for recreational purposes by all residents of Braishfield. In the football season, the major part of the recreation ground is laid out as a football pitch, and the pavilion of Braishfield Football Club occupies the south end of the area. In the north east of the area is a children’s play area with a range of play equipment. Along the south and east sides of the ground is a “trim trail” consisting of a sequence of exercise apparatus for use by all. On the north side is a car park, which is shared with users of the village hall.
The recreation ground can be booked for use for specific events – to make a booking, please contact the clerk. A calendar below shows the current bookings. Note that during the football season, Braishfield Football Club has priority use of the football pitch on matchdays (typically Saturdays).
Braishfield Parish Council are trustees of the recreation ground and are responsible for its maintenance. The recreation ground is a registered charity – details of the charity, including financial matters, can be found on the Recreation Ground Charity page.
