From Hampshire County Council: Update on the consultation on the draft Strategy for the future of Hampshire Library Service
Dear Library Customer
Thank you to everyone who took part in our consultation on the draft Library Strategy to 2020 which closed on 16 January. I am delighted to let you know that we received around 9,500 responses over 11 weeks, and we’re grateful that residents and organisations took the time and trouble to provide us with feedback on the content of the Strategy. The period for public consultation is now closed.
What happens next?
The responses to the consultation questionnaire are currently being analysed. The information gained from this and other feedback received will be used to revise the draft Strategy and prepare the report to be considered by our Executive Member for Culture, Recreation and Countryside at his Decision Day on 18 April 2016. The report and revised Strategy will be made available to the public before this, on 8 April 2016, via the Council web page. Printed copies of the approved Strategy will be available in libraries during May 2016.
I will write to you in April providing a link to the updated Library Strategy to 2020. In the meantime you can keep up to date on the latest news and events happening in Hampshire Libraries by subscribing to our monthly newsletter
Many thanks and best regards
Sara Teers
Head of the Library Service
